Great music, great instrumentals, some bad singers singing music by a bad singer. However, Roger McGuinn, George Harrison, The O'Jays, Eric Clapton, Chrissie Hynde, Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Richie Havens, Tracy Chapman, Stevie Wonder and John Mellencamp make this album worthwhile. The renditions of "My Back Pages" and Neil Young's version of "All Along the Watchtower" are very interesting.
While I can't say I love all the performances (the Carter/Cash rendition of "It Ain't Me Babe" comes to mind), the majority of them are marvelous and one may never hear these renditions again. This album really shows how broad Bob Dylan's influence has been in the music world. The list of performing artists reads like a who's who of most major music genres. I had this album on Cassette but had to get it on CD as well. This album is a great buy for any Dylan fan.
This product is great in that it brings Dylan songs by other artists. A must for the Dylan lover.
And why didn't Leon play at Concert for George. It's crazy this isn't out on DVD.
I Love The Video. My Video is wearing out.
I Love this CD. Where the bloody hell is the DVD.
I don't want to Fast Forward anymore. I want to Skip forward or backwards.
And I still can't work out where Leon or Joan were on the night.
I came across this by accident while searching for another band. What a lineup of stars. Twenty nine tracks, and at least 27 are brilliant. Everyone in my family loves this album. (and NO kid rock, no rappers). Tastefully Done.
